Description

Monday 3rd - Friday 7th June 2024 (4 places left)

Fee £985.00

Level: Beginners/New Career Path

The Floristry Career Course is our most popular course.  It is fantastic to see so many of our students going on to setup their own floristry businesses! The Floristry Career Course is aimed at complete beginners - no practical floristry skills are required.  It is ideal if you have always wanted to become a florist but have had no idea where to start.  The Floristry Career Course is your starting place.  Everyone attending the course is the same as you!  Slightly nervous, but excited.

From day one you will learn to create commercial designs using sustainable methods.  We look at all the options available - from biodegradable materials, eco-friendly methods and compostable options.  Building on your skills each day you will grow with confidence.

The aim of the course is to provide a foundation in floristry skills and techniques to create popular designs (designs that will sell). We not only show you how to create the designs, but how to buy flowers, how to work out what to sell your designs for and how to market your creativity!  An important part of the course is theory based covering setting up your own floristry business (whether from home or retail premises), buying stock, selling at retail and making a profit (along with a lot of other important business related topics!).

The Cambridge Flower School are committed to using sustainable products and methods throughout all our courses.

Held at The Cambridge Flower School, Newton Hall, Newton, Cambridge CB22 7ZE.

If you would like to discuss this course with us please call Sarah or Emma on 01223 655661.

"Really thoroughly enjoyed it. Made to feel really comfortable as a beginner to floristry. Really well taught and demonstrated. Loved the 3 aspects to it as well I've come away knowing a lot more than I did this morning - would love to come back for another course someday soon. Thank you!."
    — Sarah Parry | Floristry Taster Day
Excellent instruction, has created so many ideas as well as challenges, certainly has made me question the way I was thinking of doing things, and excited to get things started now. Sarah was fun and entertaining in presentation and extremely informative, thanks!
