Summer Flower Weekend

Friday 12th and Saturday 13th July 2019

Friday 10am - 4pm
Saturday 10am - 3pm

Level: Beginners/New skills & ideas

Do you love summer flowers?  Is your passion gardening, entertaining or parties?  Then this is the workshop for you!  To complete the occasion you are invited to a summer picnic on the Saturday afternoon decorating the occasion with all you have created whilst relaxing with your fellow students!

Making the most of the abundance of stunning summer flowers and foliage you will learn how to create stunning designs for outdoor parties, intimidate dinners and elaborate picnics.

This is the perfect opportunity to not only learn new skills but come away with ideas for dressing your outdoor table to wow your guests using simple props that are easily available and you can recycle!   Whether you are completely new to floristry or looking for new ideas and the opportunity to put them into practice - then join us for a fabulous 2 days of creativity.

Table settings:  from simple designs that you can replicate to more elaborate table runners and individual settings.

Hanging designs:  creating interest from the front door to the garden.  The variety of options from creating hanging hoops and picture frames.

Vases & Containers: Beautiful vase designs using garden foliage and flowers in a wide variety of containers.  Statement pieces that you can replicate at home and for events and weddings.

Come and join us for a creative couple of days and open your eyes to the abundance of flowers and foliage that we all have around us!

To make the most of what you have created during the two days on the Saturday you will dress the table and set the scene before sitting down to a summer picnic (hopefully in our stunning gardens) enabling you to enjoy all the designs you have created.  This will be a seated event with all food and fizz provided.

The workshop includes all the flowers, foliage, wrapping, ribbons and containers that you need to complete the item(s).

This course includes a light lunch on the Friday and traditional picnic lunch on the Saturday afternoon.

You will also be provided with tools to use during the course.   If you wish to purchase tools, we have these available and can be purchased on the day.

We suggest you bring your camera to take photos as a reminder of what you have learnt during the day.

We would recommend wearing  comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)
