Wedding & Event Design
Thursday 18th - Saturday 20th November 2021
10am - 4pm
Level: Intermediate/New Skills
Important Information: Whilst social distancing is in place we are limiting this course to 8 places only (instead of 12). Should we have to cancel a course due to government guidelines we will offer you a transfer or a full refund.
This three day course is ideal for anyone looking to offer event, wedding or venue design to their clients. With so many venues opening their doors to both weddings and events there is huge scope for set dressing and designing large scale pieces that really do have that wow factor. Many of the designs you will create are based on eco-friendly construction methods.
We look at using effects and lighting, props, the theme and colour, costing and project managing (including delegating) the flowers for the event. You will work individually and in groups to create the designs (as very often some large scale events are impossible to do on your own), from planning to implementation making the three days as realistic as possible. You will leave full of confidence to cope with any venue, marquee or large scale event. This is an ideal opportunity to enhance your portfolio of work.
Suitable for those who would have some/limited experience of floristry and are looking to widen their repertoire of skills - this is the course for you! If you are unsure as to whether this course is suitable for you please do call us on 01223 655661.
During the 3 days you will work on the following designs:
- Romantic foliage garlanding for staircases, arches and marquee poles
- Hanging chandeliers
- Willow archways (building & decorating)
- Mantelpiece arrangement - long, low & trailing
- Large scale statement designs for tall pedestals
You will work individually and in groups to create the designs, from planning to implementation making the three days as realistic as possible.
You will leave full of confidence to cope with any venue, marquee or large scale event.
This is an ideal opportunity to enhance your portfolio of work.
