Garlands & Archways

12th January 2018
3rd May 2018

10am - 4pm

Decorating an arch, doorway or construction in the middle of a field with heaps of flowers can be a daunting task!  How do you attach, can you attach and how on earth do I prepare for this?

This one day course will demonstrate the different techniques, structures, tools and items required to create a stunning archway depending on whether it is a church, free standing or a gazebo.

This is a group workshop and students will work together to decorate a structure and create garlanding.

"Great Day, learned loads, about techniques and costings. Helped perspective of how long garlanding takes and how much work an arch is prepare. Superb lunch as always. Thank you Sarah and Gussie."
Gale Booth | Garlands and Archways | September 2017

The course includes all the flowers, foliage, ribbons and containers that you need to complete the item(s).

A light lunch and all refreshments are provided.

You will also be provided with tools to use during the day.   If you wish to purchase tools, we have these available and can be purchased on the day.

We suggest you bring your camera to take photos as a reminder of what you have learnt during the day as the structures are large and cannot be taken off site.

We would recommend wearing  comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)  As this will be constructed outside (even in wet weather, please bring waterproofs).

The course is held at The Cambridge Flower School, Newton Hall, Town Street, Newton, Cambridge CB22 7ZE

The full fee is £195.00.

You can book your course online or call us on 01223 655661.

Once you have booked your place(s) we will email you further details of the workshop including a location map with how to find the venue.
