Flower Photography

Wednesday 14th March 2017

10.00am - 4.00pm

As a florist we are creative, open to ideas and able to translate visions perfectly for magical bridal bouquets and romantic venue decoration.   However, for many of us when it comes to taking good photographs of our designs to use on our website and promotional material we are quite literally stumped! If you point and click and hope that just one of them is good enough to use then this is the course for you!

This course is perfect for all of us that struggle to take a good picture and want to be able to have a more professional image to use on social media, websites and promotional material.

Morning Session: Bridal Bouquet - using "Egg" Technique

In the morning you will learn to design a wedding bouquet using the "egg bouquet" technique - creating a fabulously wild bouquet.

Afternoon Session: Photography lesson

For the afternoon, Anne Miles, an experienced photographer and tutor will show you how to get the most out of your camera concentrating on setting the scene, experimenting with your controls and their usage and composing a good picture.

We will provide lots of ideas for set designs, but you are more than welcome to bring your own props (especially if you are going to continue using them in photographs so you have consistency through your images).

You will need to bring your own camera and a tripod for the photography session.

Only 12 places - so book soon!

The course includes all the flowers, foliage and sundry items that you need to complete the item in the morning session.

If you wish to purchase tools and sundries, we have these available and can be purchased during the session (please bring cash for any additional purchases).

You will need to bring your own camera and a tripod for the photography session

Refreshments, including a light lunch are provided.

We would recommend wearing  comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)

This course is held at The Cambridge Flower School, Newton Hall, Newton, Cambridge CB22 7ZE.

The full fee is £225.00. To reserve your place you can either pay a deposit of £100.00 or the full fee.  If paying a deposit the balance is due 14 prior to the start of the course.
