Friday 11th October 2019
10.00am - 4.00pm
As a florist we are creative, open to ideas and able to translate visions perfectly for magical bridal bouquets and romantic venue decoration. However, for many of us when it comes to taking good photographs of our designs to use on our website and promotional material we are quite literally stumped! If you point and click and hope that just one of them is good enough to use then this is the course for you!
This workshop is perfect for all of us that struggle to take a good picture and want to be able to have a more professional image to use on social media, websites and promotional material.
We will show you how to design flower arrangements specifically for photographic uses (this is very different to creating a design for general sale).
During the first session of the morning you will create a design to photograph using the instructions we have given you for creating a design for a photo shoot.
The following scenarios will be covered:
- Lifestyle images
- Product shots using backdrop
- Working with people and props
Anthony Ellis an experienced photographer and tutor will show you how to get the most out of your camera concentrating on setting the scene, experimenting with your controls and their usage and composing a good picture.
Anthony will spend time with you individually showing you how to use your camera settings effectively.
You will need to bring your own DSLR camera. We cannot accept mobile phones or other devices on this course.
Limited places so book soon!
The workshop includes all the flowers, foliage and sundry items that you need to complete the item in the morning session.
You will need to bring your own DSLR camera.
Refreshments, including a light lunch are provided.
We would recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)
