Summer Flowerfest

£200.00

Friday 8th and Saturday 9th July 2022 (only 4 places left!)

Times: 10am - 4pm

Level: Beginners/New skills & ideas

Join me and Emma and immerse yourself for two days in flowers (the woofters will not be included!) A celebration of all things summer.   Perfect for anyone new to working with flowers and simply want to adorn your home throughout the year for your own pleasure or to impress friends and family for celebrations!

Making the most of the abundance of stunning summer flowers and foliage you will mix vintage containers with kitchen cupboard basics; we love reusing.  We will also use dried flowers in our designs - perfect for some longevity!

This is the perfect opportunity to not only learn new skills, meet new people (and don't we need that now) but to have a couple of days just for you.   Whether you are completely new to floristry or looking for new ideas and the opportunity to put them into practice - then join us for a fabulous 2 days of creativity.  All designs will be sustainable - whether mixing vintage with new or creating our own bases to reuse from wood, moss, natural materials and so much more...

Table settings:  from simple designs that you can replicate to more elaborate table runners and individual settings.  We will be taking a look in "your kitchen cupboard" for inspiration!

Hanging designs:  creating designs that you can hang indoors.  The variety of options from creating hanging hoops to  old picture frames that need a bit of flower power.

Vases & Containers: Beautiful vase designs using garden foliage and flowers in a wide variety of containers.  Statement pieces that you can replicate at home.

Come and join us for a creative couple of days and open your eyes to the abundance of flowers and foliage that we all have around us!

The workshop includes all the flowers, foliage, wrapping, ribbons and containers that you need to complete the item(s).

On the Saturday afternoon join us for afternoon tea to sit back, relax and admire what you have created over the two days.  Raise a glass and toast your fellow students!

You will be provided with all the materials, flowers, foliage and tools to use during the course.   If you wish to purchase tools, we have these available and can be purchased during the course.

We suggest you bring your camera to take photos as a reminder of what you have learnt during the 2 days.

We would recommend wearing  comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)

This course is held at The Cambridge Flower School, Newton Hall, Newton, Cambridge CB22 7ZE.

The full fee is £435.00. To reserve your place you can either pay a deposit of £200.00 or the full fee of £435.00.  If paying a deposit the balance is due 1 month to the start of the course.
