The Wedding Table
Description
Tuesday 25th February 2025
10am - 4pm
Level: Beginners/Intermediate/Upskills
Not every wedding has archways and columns and huge pedestals, but on the whole they all have tables and want amazing flowers for the wedding feast!
There are so many options available and depends very much on the shape and size of the tables, then venue and seasonal availability. So many choices, styles and colours - we unravel it all!
This one day course is a standalone day or add an extra day to The Wedding Decorator for the full wedding florist experience!
We look at the current trends in wedding table design and look at both low and tall designs suitable for inside and outside dining. We will discuss logistics, materials and hiring containers. This course is as much about the mechanics as it is design. Whether you can use frogs, chicken wire or biodegradable materials. There is so much choice out there and we discuss all the options.
Sophisticated Parisian style table centre for a grand country house event. We look at the designs for container arrangements and tall table centres ideal for an indoor wedding in an elegant setting.
A repeating landscape arrangement for an informal wedding or party using mixed foliage and seasonal flowers that flows down the length of the table. Natural and rustic. We will look at a variety of containers from bud vases to box designs and flowing garlands to drape down the sides of the table. Perfect for the current trend of barn, farm and outdoor weddings.
This is the perfect opportunity to take photographs for your portfolio (with some extremely useful tips on how to get the right image).
DETAILS
The course includes all the flowers, foliage and containers that you need to complete the item(s).
You will also be provided with tools to use during the day. If you wish to purchase tools, we have these available and can be purchased on the day.
We suggest you bring your camera to take photos as a reminder of what you have learnt during the day.
We would recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)

"I absolutely loved it. It was the perfect amount of hands-on education and learning. I would recommend to anyone interested and absolutely will be back!"
"Really thoroughly enjoyed it. Made to feel really comfortable as a beginner to floristry. Really well taught and demonstrated. Loved the 3 aspects to it as well I've come away knowing a lot more than I did this morning - would love to come back for another course someday soon. Thank you!."
Loved this workshop. Really friendly and therapeutic to come to this class. I am a complete beginner but felt that didn't matter at all.
Absolutely loved it. Didn't want it to end. Hungry to learn more and loved the friendly atmosphere. Excellent tutoring, very patient and happy to explain a second time. I'll be back!
