This three day course is ideal for anyone looking to offer wedding or venue design and installations - ultimately, the wedding decorator. Whether you are a florist looking to widen your skills set, a wedding planner or currently only working in silks, this course is ideal.
With so many venues having opened their doors to both weddings and events there is huge scope for set dressing and designing large scale pieces that bring the outside indoors with a garden or woodland influence.
All of the designs you will create use fully sustainable construction methods. We use a variety of materials and tools including wood, chicken wire, moss, biodegradable and compostable materials and so much more.
You will work individually and in groups to create the designs (as very often some large scale events are impossible to do on your own), from planning, logistics to implementation making the three days as realistic as possible. You will leave full of confidence to cope with any venue, marquee or large scale wedding. This is an ideal opportunity to enhance your portfolio of work.
As part of this course we forage for foliage (subject to the weather) in the grounds of Newton Hall). We incorporate, fresh, silk and dried to ensure you have the opportunity to work with mediums that you may not have worked with before.
Suitable for those who have some/limited experience of floristry. If you are unsure as to whether this course is suitable for you please do call us on 01223 655661.

"I absolutely loved it. It was the perfect amount of hands-on education and learning. I would recommend to anyone interested and absolutely will be back!"
"Really thoroughly enjoyed it. Made to feel really comfortable as a beginner to floristry. Really well taught and demonstrated. Loved the 3 aspects to it as well I've come away knowing a lot more than I did this morning - would love to come back for another course someday soon. Thank you!."
Excellent instruction, has created so many ideas as well as challenges, certainly has made me question the way I was thinking of doing things, and excited to get things started now. Sarah was fun and entertaining in presentation and extremely informative, thanks!
