Peak Seasons Masterclass
Description
Thursday 8th January 2025
10am - 4pm
Level: New Florists/Intermediate
With the festive season over, we move on to the next two big peak seasons for florists; Valentines Day and Mother's Day. Learn from an experienced florist about these two vital days and how to ensure you are maximising your sales whilst being original, seasonal and sustainable.
Valentines Day: One day in the year that florist's find the hardest to judge. How many roses to order? What colours? What should I charge? We unravel the options, tell you the truth and give you options that will make sure you are not left with unwanted stock on 15th February.
Mothers Day: With a longer lead in and more options, Mother's Day in the UK is unique to the rest of the world. A variety of design options, we consider all our customers from the very young to designs for those less mobile or elderly. Mother's Day is a celebration in flowers and plants for all new florists to embrace.
Images for your Website: Once you have completed the course we will send you a portfolio of professional product images that you can use on your website in the lead up to both Valentines and Mother's Day.
Whether you are in a retail environment or a home studio the masterclass will encourage you with ideas to promote your business through social media, online and in your local community.
Held early in January to ensure you have time to prepare your products, plan images and marketing.
DETAILS
The course includes all the flowers, foliage, wrapping, ribbons and containers that you need to complete the item(s).
You will also be provided with tools to use during the day and a notebook and pen.
We suggest you bring your camera to take photos as a reminder of what you have learnt during the day and also for your own portfolio and start promoting Christmas.
You will need to bring a packed lunch with you.
We would recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)

"I absolutely loved it. It was the perfect amount of hands-on education and learning. I would recommend to anyone interested and absolutely will be back!"
"Really thoroughly enjoyed it. Made to feel really comfortable as a beginner to floristry. Really well taught and demonstrated. Loved the 3 aspects to it as well I've come away knowing a lot more than I did this morning - would love to come back for another course someday soon. Thank you!."
Loved this workshop. Really friendly and therapeutic to come to this class. I am a complete beginner but felt that didn't matter at all.
Absolutely loved it. Didn't want it to end. Hungry to learn more and loved the friendly atmosphere. Excellent tutoring, very patient and happy to explain a second time. I'll be back!
