Funeral work is a very important sector of floristry as it is still the one area that is exclusively for professional florists. From designing a compostable garden tribute for a woodland burial to a 3-dimensional dog - it is truly satisfying and creative work and a great addition to your skills set.

A fantastic intensive guide to the foundational knowledge of floristry. The blending of practical and theoretical education was brilliant. The tutors were so kind, informative and supportive and the pacing of the week was spot on. It was great to have the tools, pack and videos to come away with. Excellent! This course was very informative. Sarah and Elle are fantastic tutors, everything was explained simply and clearly. They always took the time and patience to help each member of the class individually. Each session was relaxed and hugely enjoyable - even the homework! Really enjoyed the no-foam workshop. Being a commercial florist, I was unsure of how well the designs would work without using foam. I was surprised at how well I could make the design and how easy it was to produce. I have learnt a lot of techniques that I could use in a commercial setting and will be taking the design to the local funeral directors to show them I can now product no-foam compostable designs.
I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who is thinking of changing their careers. I'm looking forward to following my dreams now.
