Description

Saturday 13th July 2024

Saturday 20th April is fully booked.

10am - 12.30pm

Level: Beginners/New Skills

Flower frogs date back to the 14th Century and have been used in floristry across the globe.  This morning workshops looks at the different "frogs" that are available from conventional pin holders to pottery frogs.

We will also discuss different vessels that work well with frogs and the flowers and foliage that are perfect for designing with a frog.

You will learn how to create a design using a frog using gorgeous spring blooms in a reusable ceramic container.  You get to keep the frog and container and of course the design you create!

DETAILS

The workshop includes all the flowers, foliage and materials that you need to complete the item(s).

You will also be provided with tools to use during the session.   If you wish to purchase tools and sundries, we have these available and can be purchased during the session (we accept card and cash payments on the day for all sundry items).

We suggest you bring your camera to take photos as a reminder of what you have learnt during the day.

Refreshments are provided.

We would recommend wearing  comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)

This workshop is held at The Cambridge Flower School, Newton Hall, Newton, Cambridge CB22 7ZE.

BOOKING

The fee is £95.00 including the frog, container, flowers, materials and tuition.  You can book this workshop on online or call us on 01223 655661.

Once you have booked your place(s) we will email you further details of the workshop including a location map with how to find the venue.

"Really thoroughly enjoyed it. Made to feel really comfortable as a beginner to floristry. Really well taught and demonstrated. Loved the 3 aspects to it as well I've come away knowing a lot more than I did this morning - would love to come back for another course someday soon. Thank you!."
— Sarah Parry | Floristry Taster Day
Excellent instruction, has created so many ideas as well as challenges, certainly has made me question the way I was thinking of doing things, and excited to get things started now. Sarah was fun and entertaining in presentation and extremely informative, thanks!
