Power to Purple!

Each year Pantone release their colour of the year, based on trends and design.  For 2018 the colour is Ultra-Violet 18-3838, a blue based purple described by Pantone as "a provocative and thoughtful purple shade".

As a florist this is a fantastic colour to work with!  So many other hues, tints, tones and shades abound within purple itself.   It brings a touch of theatre - think lush velvets mixed with red.  

• Mix with yellows & golds (the true complimentary colour) for a lively and rich design.
• Mix with other shades of purples, add a splash of white or grey and you have an elegant monochromatic design.
• Take the very trendy Analogous - mix 3 or 4 colours next to each other on the colour wheel and this is likely to be the favourite for weddings in 2018!

Going to be an exciting vibrant & theatrical year - especially for weddings!
