Description

Monday 24th June 2024 (3 places left)

6.30pm - 9.00pm

Midsummer's Eve is the time when fairies come out to play! Celebrated in 2024 on June 24th, our evening Midsummer wreath workshop is the perfect relaxing, creative way to celebrate long summer evenings.

This workshop is for complete beginners, so previous experience of floristry or working with flowers is not required.

You will create a birch base and then learn how to decorate with seasonal flowers & foliage that will dry whilst on the wreath (this is perfect for those who cut from their own garden).  We will decorate with trailing ribbons and optional fairy dust!  You can then take home and hang on your door or use a table centre (perfect as no moss to get all over the table!).

We will start the evening with scones, cream and strawberries and a glass of bubbly!

DETAILS

The workshop includes all the flowers, foliage and ribbons that you need to complete the item(s).

You will also be provided with tools to use during the evening.   If you wish to purchase tools, we have these available and can be purchased during the session.

We suggest you bring your camera to take photos as a reminder of what you have learnt during the day.

All refreshments are included.

We would recommend wearing  comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)

The fee is £85.00.

You can book your workshop online or call us on 01223 655661.

Once you have booked your place(s) we will email you further details of the workshop including a location map with how to find the venue.

This workshop is held at The Cambridge Flower School, Newton Hall, Newton, Cambridge CB22 7ZE.

Customer reviews

"Really thoroughly enjoyed it. Made to feel really comfortable as a beginner to floristry. Really well taught and demonstrated. Loved the 3 aspects to it as well I've come away knowing a lot more than I did this morning - would love to come back for another course someday soon. Thank you!."
— Sarah Parry | Floristry Taster Day
Excellent instruction, has created so many ideas as well as challenges, certainly has made me question the way I was thinking of doing things, and excited to get things started now. Sarah was fun and entertaining in presentation and extremely informative, thanks!
