The Bowl Workshop
Description
Saturday 31st January 2026
10am - 12.30pm
Level: Beginners/New Skills
Desperate for spring? We are too - but luckily we have access to the early flowers of the spring season, just round the corner.
You will learn how to create a design using chicken wire and a frog using seasonal blooms in a reusable ceramic container. This will be a natural, spring garden inspired design using the early spring flowers such as Narcissi and Parrot tulips. Flowers with movement that lend themselves to this asymmetrical design.
Suitable for complete beginners and you get to take home your completed design. You get to keep the frog and container too.
DETAILS
No previous floristry or flower arranging experience is required.
The workshop includes all the flowers, foliage and materials that you need to complete the item(s).
You will also be provided with tools to use during the session. If you wish to purchase tools and sundries, we have these available and can be purchased during the session from our school shop (we accept card and cash payments on the day for all sundry items).
We suggest you bring your camera to take photos as a reminder of what you have learnt during the session.
Refreshments are provided.
We would recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)
This workshop is held at The Cambridge Flower School, The Old Grain Store, Ely Road, Chittering, Cambridge CB25 9PH.

"I absolutely loved it. It was the perfect amount of hands-on education and learning. I would recommend to anyone interested and absolutely will be back!"
"Really thoroughly enjoyed it. Made to feel really comfortable as a beginner to floristry. Really well taught and demonstrated. Loved the 3 aspects to it as well I've come away knowing a lot more than I did this morning - would love to come back for another course someday soon. Thank you!."
Loved this workshop. Really friendly and therapeutic to come to this class. I am a complete beginner but felt that didn't matter at all.
Absolutely loved it. Didn't want it to end. Hungry to learn more and loved the friendly atmosphere. Excellent tutoring, very patient and happy to explain a second time. I'll be back!
