Looking for a general overview of floristry and have no idea what course you really need or want to do?  Our popular one day beginners floristry taster day is designed to introduce you to floristry with lots of practise during the day.  During the day you will create a hand-tied gifting bouquet a buttonhole design and a seasonal arrangement in a container.   These are designs that you can replicate at home using flowers from your own garden or local flower market.  A perfect day to show you what floristry is really about!

Where can I go from here?

The Beginners Taster Workshop is an ideal stepping stone onto these courses:
Floristry Career Course

DETAILS

The workshop includes all the flowers, foliage, wrappings and containers that you need to complete the item(s).

You will also be provided with tools to use during the day.   If you wish to purchase tools, we have these available and can be purchased on the day.

We suggest you bring your camera to take photos as a reminder of what you have learnt during the day.

We would recommend wearing  comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)

You will need to bring a packed lunch with you.  Hot and cold drinks are provided.

This course is held at The Cambridge Flower School, Newton Hall, Cambridge CB22 7ZE

— Lauren Ludlow | Floristry Taster Day
"Really thoroughly enjoyed it. Made to feel really comfortable as a beginner to floristry. Really well taught and demonstrated. Loved the 3 aspects to it as well I've come away knowing a lot more than I did this morning - would love to come back for another course someday soon. Thank you!."
— Sarah Parry | Floristry Taster Day
Excellent instruction, has created so many ideas as well as challenges, certainly has made me question the way I was thinking of doing things, and excited to get things started now. Sarah was fun and entertaining in presentation and extremely informative, thanks!
