Do you find that selecting colours of flowers or understanding the basic principles of floristry design need refining?
This one day masterclass is for those who struggle with mastering perfect design in their floristry work. Whether wedding, gifting, funeral or corporate; perfecting design skills is essential.
You will learn the art of good design. This one day masterclass covers the following topics:
Colour Harmonies: We delve into the world of colour! Understanding different colour harmonies, tints, tones and shades and the accurate use of colour palettes and charts.
Principles of Design: There are basic principles of design that when understood and implemented bring a design alive. With many different principles we explore them all and look at where they are used and how.
Recipes: How to write recipes for different designs ensuring that you work with the principles of design (whilst working within a set budget).
This is a theory only course with demonstrations to showcase different design techniques whilst applying the principles of design and working with colour harmonies. You will have the opportunity to get involved in the demonstration designs.
DETAILS
The course includes a notebook and pen and accompany course notes, colour charts and a reference book - all of you to take away with you.
We suggest you bring your camera to take photos as a reminder of what you have learnt during the day and also for your own portfolio.
You will need to bring a packed lunch with you.
We would recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting wet or dirty (as flowers involve a bit of both!)
