Midsummer Day - Peak Season

Marking the longest day of the year and the midpoint of the growing season, Midsummer is steeped in ancient European and Celtic cultures with many believing it a magical time.  Bonfires were lit to ward off evil spirits.  

In Scandinavia festivities include maypole dancing and wearing flower crowns whilst in the UK thousands gather at mystical sites like Stonehenge to watch the sunrise and celebrate the longest day.
