Introducing: The Professional Wedding Florist

For over 12 years we’ve had students come through the school doors ready to either take their first steps in floristry or improve their skills and learn something new. Within that large group of students, a significant number go on to focus on wedding floristry.

We’ve taught different aspects of wedding floristry throughout the years. We’ve seen trends begin and end and now come back again, and we’ve always tried to ensure that we’re giving florists a solid understanding of what are the key skills to deliver beautiful wedding flowers that brides are asking for.

With the rise in social media, we’ve seen florists needing to learn techniques they haven’t been asked for in the past – such as wired cascading or contemporary sculptural bouquets, which are currently in fashion. But we’ve also seen continuation of whimsical designs.

Whatever the trends, the fundamentals of wedding floristry remain the same and The Professional Wedding Florist course is designed to provide students with both the practical understanding of the skills needed to respond to what we think are the common wedding designs, but also the understanding of the business side of wedding floristryWe’d like florists to leave the four days with a new confidence when approaching wedding florals, having learnt how to become a professional wedding florist and build a successful wedding floristry business.

Find out more about The Professional Wedding Florist Course here, including what you’ll learn across the four days or call the school on 01223 655661.
